Ortiz named new PDMT Leader
Reverend Milton L. Ortiz has accepted the call to serve as the Pastoral Development Ministry Team (PDMT) Leader. Reverend Ortiz’s background includes more than 25 years as pastor, currently serving the Casa de Fe y Alabanza Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Malden, Massachusetts. Reverend Ortiz is bi-vocational, and brings with him a wealth of experience from the human services field, including the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange where he has worked for the past ten years. Reverend Ortiz is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is presently pursuing a D.Min. Reverend Ortiz is married to Francia H. Ortiz. They have 2 children, Helena and Jacob.
Happily, Reverend Ortiz has the flexibility to invest some time in the coming weeks to work on a transition with Reverend Stephanie Brown who leaves the PDMT Leader position at the end of October.
The interview panel was impressed by the passion and insight of all 7 candidates who were interviewed and believes that Reverend Milton L. Ortiz is the right person at the right time to serve as the PDMT Leader.
