Pat White is the editor of The Cumberland Presbyterian. Pat grew up in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Burnt Prairie, Ill. She is a graduate of Bethel College, McKenzie, Tenn., with a BS in both elementary education and Christian education. Upon completion of her degree, she served as director of Christian education at the CPC, Dyer, Tennessee, and then spent 18 years in public school, 14 of them as a kindergarten teacher.

Pat came on board as editor February 1, 2000. This followed a career of 14 years as manager of the Cumberland Presbyterian Bookstore and curriculum distribution in Memphis, Tennessee. Pat has been active in the denomination serving in various capacities over the years. She was secretary of Cumberland Presbyterian Women Convention in 1978. She served on the Committee to Revise the Confession of Faith and also on the denominational Board of Christian Education, but it was during her years at the book store that she became acquainted with grassroots people across the denomination. The Office of The Cumberland Presbyterian is located in the editor’s home at Antioch, Tennessee, where she lives with her cat, Bodie. Pat is the mother of Rick White, P. Richelle White, and RheAnn W. Fuller, and grandmother of Abbi, Creson, and Karson White.

Here is a brief introduction to the staff members who help Editor White. RheAnn W. Fuller, a talented writer and actress, is a full time student at Naropa University, Boulder, Col., where she is in the Religious Studies Program. She is the proof reader for the magazine. Pat De Vries, wife of Rev. Ray De Vries is responsible for maintaining subscriptions. Board members include Byrne Dunn, Nadara Jones, Jean Garrett, Joseph Malloy, Jr., and L. G. Parkhurst.
